A snow machine makes snow in preparation for the upcoming ski season at Snowbird Ski Resort on Monday. The resort is scheduled to open for the season on Nov. 30. According to a tweet from the National Weather Service, the temperature at Salt Lake City International Airport at 6 a.m. was 20 degrees Monday, breaking the old daily record of 22, which was set in 1878. Local forecasters say residents along the Wasatch Front will see sunny skies over the next seven days with temperatures climbing back into the mid-60s by the weekend.
