ENOCH, Iron County — A woman was killed in a crash in southern Utah on Monday.
A 58-year-old woman in a 2005 Chevrolet Malibu pulled in front of an oncoming “large drill pump truck” for an unknown reason at the intersection of state Route 130 and Midvalley Road about 3:30 p.m., according to a statement from the Utah Highway Patrol.
The driver of the truck was unable to stop, the UHP stated.
“The truck collided with the driver’s side of the Malibu causing extensive damage. The driver of the Malibu was not wearing a seat belt and sustained fatal injuries,” according to the UHP.
The name of the woman was not immediately released.
