The Mandalorian and Baby Yoda may be characters in the next season of Fortnite. Here’s what we know
It looks like Fortnite might get a makeover from “The Mandalorian” with its upcoming season, if the reported leaks are to be believed.
What’s happening:
Early leaks for the fifth season of Fortnite — the battle royale video game — appear to suggest the new season will feature Din Djarin (the Mandalorian) with the Child (Baby Yoda).
One such leak shows a poster for the fifth season, which shows the Mandalorian and Baby Yoda heading for the island of Fortnite.

It’s unclear if the Mandalorian will be a playable character in the new season. Fortnite leaks tend to turn out to be accurate in most cases. Sometimes little rumors don’t pan out. But leaked photos and images have a good track record for happening.
‘Star Wars’ in Fortnite
“Star Wars” has had an influence in the Fortnite universe before. Back in November 2019, Fortnite added a new stormtrooper character ahead of the release of “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker,” as I wrote for the Deseret News.
- The game later added skins for Finn, Rey, a red Sith Trooper and a First Order TIE fighter glider, The Verge reports.
- Fortnite also included a radio transmission from Palpatine, which was later referenced in the actual “Star Wars” film, according to SlashFilm.
