WEST VALLEY CITY — A man was killed on Christmas in a crash in West Valley City, police said.
About 9:30 a.m., a southbound vehicle and westbound vehicle collided with each other at 5400 S. Mountain View Corridor after one of them ran a red light, West Valley City Police Sgt. Jason Johnson said.
Police did not know which vehicle ran the red light.
One of the drivers was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was not immediately released.
The other driver was taken to a hospital in serious condition.
Impairment or weather were not suspected as factors in the crash, Johnson said, but speed did appear to play a role.
