Utah has seen 202,220 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 906 total deaths as of Wednesday, according to the Utah Department of Health. That’s an increase of 4,004 cases from Tuesday. Seventeen new deaths were reported, with a previous one being removed from the total count.

- Total number of COVID-19 cases: 202,220
- Total reported people tested: 1,441,659
- Total COVID-19 hospitalizations: 8,423
- Current COVID-19 hospitalizations: 571
- Total COVID-19 deaths: 906
- Single-day high for reported cases: 4,588 (Nov. 20)
- Single-day high for reported deaths: 26 (Nov. 25)
Recently
- The state reported 2,043 COVID-19 cases and 14 more deaths on Saturday. “While the seven-day average has fallen since it reached above 3,000 cases earlier this week, it’s too early to tell if the state is seeing a decline in cases as testing facilities were closed on Thursday, and some are running with reduced hours over the holiday weekend,” according to the Deseret News.
- On Friday, the state reported a two-day total of 6,142 new COVID-19 cases and 15 additional deaths in Utah. Numbers were not reported on Thursday, the Thanksgiving holiday.
- Utahns can anticipate a “June or July time frame” for COVID-19 vaccines, a health official said. Dosages will be available first for high-priority groups such as hospital staff.

Globally, the novel coronavirus pandemic has now infected 63,360,234 and killed 1,475,825 people as of Wednesday, according to the World Health Organization.
