It’s mid-December, and there’s snow on the ground — perfect time for a home finale.

No. 18 BYU hosts a familiar opponent, San Diego State, on Saturday night at LaVell Edwards Stadium in the Cougars’ first December home game.

BYU will be trying to shake off its first loss of the season, after the Cougars (9-1) fell to No. 13 Coastal Carolina on the road last week in a contest that became official a little more than 48 hours before the game was played.

The Aztecs (4-3), BYU’s old WAC and Mountain West league foe, is coming off a win over Colorado State and looking to beat the Cougars for the second straight year, after frustrating the BYU offense in a 13-3 San Diego State win in California in 2019.
