Two former offensive stars at Utah colleges are among the 10 practice squad players the Baltimore Ravens called up to the active roster for their game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Wednesday afternoon, as the Ravens deal with an extended COVID-19 outbreak on their team.

Former Utah quarterback Tyler Huntley and former BYU running back Ty’Son Williams, both undrafted rookies, will be active for the first time in their pro careers for Baltimore, which currently has 17 players on the COVID-19 reserve list.

Huntley will serve as a backup to Robert Griffin III, who is starting with the Ravens’ normal starting QB, reigning NFL MVP Lamar Jackson, on the COVID-19 list. Fellow quarterback backup Trace McSorley was taken off the COVID-19 reserve list on Tuesday. Huntley signed with Baltimore after going undrafted in April and has been on the team’s practice squad the entirety of the 2020 season.

Williams joins a Baltimore backfield that will be minus two of its top rushers — J.K. Dobbins and Mark Ingram, to COVID-19 — while the team’s leading running back, Gus Edwards, will be available, as well as second-year back Justice Hill. Williams signed with the Ravens during training camp and, like Huntley, has spent the year on the practice squad.

The Ravens’ game against the Steelers has been rescheduled three times, before finally settling on Wednesday (1:40 p.m. MT, NBC).
