For the second straight game on Friday night against the Dallas Mavericks at Vivint Arena, the Utah Jazz will be without All-Star guard Donovan Mitchell.
The team announced Friday afternoon that Mitchell is still in the NBA’s concussion protocol, which he has been since Wednesday morning. It is not entirely clear when Mitchell suffered the setback on Tuesday night as the Jazz beat the New York Knicks.
Despite being without Mitchell on Wednesday against the Mavericks, Utah was tremendous in its 116-104 win, the team’s 10th straight victory. Joe Ingles started in Mitchell’s place and scored a season-high 21 points on seven 3-pointers with eight assists and four rebounds.
Jordan Clarkson and Rudy Gobert led the way in the scoring department, also putting up season-highs of 31 and 29 points, respectively.
