There is a desire by many to support the election results to promote faith in the election process. Many have, with their words, been very careful to not encourage the loss of faith in the integrity of our elections. Example: Former Attorney General William Barr stated that he did not see any evidence of fraud but he continued to add the caveat of “enough” to affect the outcome of the election. He obviously made an attempt to put the greater emphasis on election integrity while speaking truthfully.
Here is the problem: Many are sick and tired of this sort of speech while no action is taken. Essentially, Mitt Romney and his political peers spend way too many resources covering up and/or ignoring issues to promote faith in institutions rather than taking action to promote faith in those institutions.
At this point, polls suggest that over a third of the nation questions the fairness of the last presidential election (including 10% of Democrats). It is fair to say that the people have already lost the faith and it is time someone works (takes action) to restore it. The empty rhetoric is failing us all now. Hold people accountable and restore faith by taking action.
