The Utah Jazz have been literally the best team in the NBA during their 6-game win streak

Since a 12-point loss to the New York Knicks on Jan. 6 dropped the Utah Jazz to just a 4-4 mark on the season, the Jazz have climbed out of the mediocrity to win six straight games, and they are now tied for the second-best record in the entire NBA with the Los Angeles Clippers and just a half-game back of the Los Angeles Lakers for the best mark in the league.

Not only that, but Utah has literally been the best team in the NBA during their winning streak from a few different perspectives. Most notably, the Jazz are the only team to be 6-0 during this stretch (the Memphis Grizzlies are the only other undefeated team since Jan. 8 at 5-0 and three teams have one loss).

That’s not all, though. The Jazz have by far the highest net rating of any team in the league during the stretch at 16.2, which is the margin of victory per 100 possessions. The Clippers are second with a net rating of 14.2 since Jan. 8. For reference of how big Utah’s margin is over the Clippers, the Lakers are third with a net rating of 13.2.

What’s more, the Jazz have the best defensive rating during the streak at 101.2, meaning they’re allowing just that many points per 100 possessions. The Boston Celtics are second with a defensive rating of 101.6.

On the other end of the floor, Utah has the third-best offensive rating in the NBA over this run at 117.4, meaning it’s averaging that many points per 100 possessions. The Jazz are just behind the Toronto Raptors (117.6) but well behind the Clippers (124.6).

For the entire season to this point, Utah is fourth in the league in net rating (5.9), sixth in defensive rating (106.4) and eighth in offensive rating (112.4).
