SANDY — Police report a 16-year-old boy remains in “critical but stable” condition after he was shot Friday night.
The shooting occurred at about 11 p.m. after the teen left his home to meet up with someone, according to Sandy Police Sgt. Clayton Swensen. He said there was an exchange that included at least one gunshot, near 450 East and 7800 South, and the teen was taken to the hospital after witnesses called police.
“Still trying to figure out who is involved,” Swensen said, adding that an investigation is ongoing.
The teen’s name was not released, nor did police indicate where he had been shot.
