6-foot-11 Tanzanian forward Atiki Ally Atiki reportedly commits to BYU

Atiki has spent the last two years playing for London Basketball Academy and chose BYU over San Diego State and Oklahoma

In two seasons under head coach Mark Pope, BYU men’s basketball program has had success convincing players from across the world to play for the Cougars.

On this year’s team alone, there is center Matt Haarms, a native of the Netherlands, and Nigerian forward Gideon George.

According to multiple reports Monday night, the first belonging to Stadium’s Jeff Goodman, another international will soon be headed to Provo.

Six-foot-11 forward Atiki Ally Atiki, a native of Mwanza, Tanzania, has to committed to BYU, per the reports.

Atiki spent the last two years in London Ontario, Canada playing for London Basketball Academy.

London Basketball Academy is a member of The National Preparatory Association of Canada, which includes teams from across Canada and players from across the world.

Atiki chose the Cougars over San Diego State, Oklahoma and West Virigina, and per 247 Sports, will sign with BYU in April, alongside Jake Wahlin and Fousseyni Traore.
