SNOWVILLE, Box Elder County — Authorities have identified a man who died early Sunday when the pickup truck he was driving rolled on a highway near the Idaho border.
Darren Nicholas, 53, of Honeyville, was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said Monday.
Utah Highway Patrol troopers responded to the wreck on state Route 30 about 12:54 a.m. The crash occurred in far northern Box Elder County between Snowville and Cedar Creek.
Nicholas lost control of his 2009 Ford F-150 and it began to roll, according to the highway patrol. He was ejected and thrown about 20 feet, troopers said.
Troopers say they are investigating impairment as a possible contributing factor to the crash.
