The Cougars’ top receiving target during their 2020 campaign is garnering interest from several teams around the NFL, according to The Draft Network’s Justin Melo.
Dax Milne was on the receiving end of his fair share of Zach Wilson’s throws during BYU’s 2020 football season.
Now, he’s receiving some attention in the lead-up to the 2021 NFL draft after declaring to go pro, like Wilson and BYU offensive tackle Brady Christensen, following his junior season.
The Draft Network’s Justin Melo reported Wednesday that Milne, a 6-foot-1 wide receiver who prepped at Bingham High, will meet virtually with the New England Patriots, Buffalo Bills, Washington Football Team, San Francisco 49ers, Denver Broncos, Indianapolis Colts, Los Angeles Chargers, Jacksonville Jaguars and Seattle Seahawks.
One guy I want to talk about is BYU's Dax Milne. While watching Zach Wilson, it was Milne who came down with a lot of those big plays (70-1188-8 in 2020).

After putting up just over 350 receiving yards over his first two seasons at BYU, Milne had a breakout year in 2020, catching a team-high 70 passes for 1,188 yards and eight touchdowns. That included six games with 100-plus receiving yards, and a three-touchdown effort in the Cougars’ come-from-behind win at Houston.
As national analysts watch film of Wilson, who’s expected to be a first-round pick, they’re taking notice of Milne, too.
“BYU WR Dax Milne has incredibly strong hands. He finishes through contact repeatedly. Cool name too,” said NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah.

Milne and several of his former teammates will have the chance to perform for scouts at BYU’s pro day, which is scheduled for March 26. The 2021 draft is April 29-May 1 in Cleveland.
