‘We can repair, repent, reconcile ... He left the tomb behind. We can leave our past behind.”

A short new Easter video debuted online Monday, inviting people to repair, reconcile and reboot their relationships, their lives and the world.

Using the hashtag #StartingToday, the video from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints uses images of people around the world reaching out to one another. It also portrays the risen Jesus Christ.

“We can reevaluate, reassess, reexamine everything in life starting today, because of how one day started 2,000 years ago,” the captions on the video say. “He left the tomb behind. We can leave our past behind. If we hear him, love him, follow him. his teachings can reshape us. His redemption can rescue us. His resurrection can reunite us. His love can renew us.”

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints annually produces an Easter video as part of a larger initiative to invite people to Christ. Past videos have generated millions of views around the world.

The new video was released on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter and on ComeUntoChrist.org and was introduced as an opportunity to find renewal and hope in Christ.

“Starting today, we can restart, reboot, relook at our lives, at our world,” the text of the video says. “Starting today we can repair, repent, reconcile. One time. Seven times. Seventy times. Seventy times seven times.”

The video ends with the question, “How can he change your life?” and invites viewers to learn more at ComeUntoChrist.org. The website allows participants to sign up for daily text messages or emails about following Christ in the week leading up to Easter on April 4.

Two days before Palm Sunday, a 2018 recording of the Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square performance of Handel’s “Messiah” will be streamed over the internet. The event will begin at 7 p.m. MDT on March 26 and can be seen on ChurchofJesusChrist.org, TabChoir.org/messiah, the Church’s Facebook page, and the choir’s Facebook page and YouTube channel.

The church’s annual global general conference will be held on Easter weekend, April 3-4. It will end in a special Easter broadcast celebrating the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
