Woman killed in auto-pedestrian crash in Murray

MURRAY — A woman died after being struck by a car while trying to cross a street early Tuesday morning in Murray.

The woman was crossing the intersection of 4500 South and 500 West about 5:30 a.m. when she was hit by a car, according to Murray police. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name and age were not immediately released.

The driver who hit the woman remained on scene and is cooperating with investigators, according to police. No other information about the incident was released Tuesday.
