Salt Lake City International Airport has passed the previous daily precipitation record for April 26, set in 2012 at 0.79 inches, with 0.8 inches of rain on Monday, according to the National Weather Service.
The storm also brought snow to Big and Little Cottonwood canyons, putting in place requirements for four-wheel drives or chains when driving the roads, according to the Utah Department of Transportation.
The weather service said some areas in Salt Lake Valley broke the 1-inch rain mark.
