Starting on May 15, the capacity of 10,000 at Rio Tinto Stadium will be socially distanced, with masks ‘strongly recommended,’ but not required.
Fans at Real Salt Lake games will no longer be required to wear masks.
RSL announced Tuesday that masks are not required at Rio Tinto Stadium in accordance with local and state health guidelines, but the club noted that masks are still “strongly encouraged.”
The new policy will go into effect starting on May 15, when RSL hosts Nashville. Capacity for the game will be capped at 10,000 — Rio Tinto’s capacity is 20,213 — and seats will be socially distanced.
Stadium employees will still be required to wear masks, and RSL says “special seating arrangements” will be made for fans who are more comfortable wearing masks.
