Utah basketball transfer Norbert Thelissen commits to Utah State

For the second time this week, a player who had previously been part of the Utah Utes men’s basketball program has announced he’s headed to Utah State.

On Wednesday, Dutch wing Norbert Thelissen posted on Instagram that he’ll go to Logan before he ever even set foot on Utah’s campus after he signed with the Utes in July of last year.

Listed by Utah at 6-foot-7, Thelissen follows former Ute Rylan Jones, who announced on Monday that he would be transferring 80 miles north. Thelissen’s decision had been reported by multiple outlets last week.

It had been reported by Verbal Commits on April 2 that Thelissen had entered the transfer portal following the dismissal by Utah of head coach Larry Krystkowiak.
