The Utah Jazz have taken over the No. 1 spot in the Western Conference once again.
On Wednesday night, the Phoenix Suns, who are in a battle for the No. 1 spot with the Jazz, were blown out by the Atlanta Hawks, 135-103. That game came to an end while the Jazz were midway through their own dominating performance.
With a 126-94 win over the San Antonio Spurs, the Jazz took a one-game lead over the Suns in the standings.
The Suns, who have a pretty tough schedule coming up, won’t see things get much easier for them through the final handful of games left in the regular season, but even after getting routed by the Hawks, Suns coach Monty Williams seemed unfazed by the upcoming schedule.
I asked Monty Williams about sked not getting any easier with New York at home Friday and back on the road at Lakers and Warriors.

His response?
"It doesn't get any easier for our opponents, either. That's the way we look at it. They've got to play against the Phoenix #Suns."
“It doesn’t get any easier for our opponents, either,” Williams said. “That’s the way we look at it. They’ve got to play against the Phoenix Suns.”
From here, the Suns will play the New York Knicks, Los Angeles Lakers, Golden State Warriors, Portland Trail Blazers and Spurs, all teams that are either playoff-bound or fighting for a play-in tournament spot.
The Jazz, on the other hand have it a little bit easier with a schedule that includes the Houston Rockets, Oklahoma City Thunder and Sacramento Kings, all of whom are at the bottom of the league’s standings.
