He’s the third offensive lineman from a Utah high school to commit to BYU since last Thursday, joining Bountiful’s Trevin Ostler and Orem’s Vae Soifua.
Falaniko is listed as 6-foot-3 and 305 pounds by 247 Sports, and he claims to have an 82-inch wingspan and 11.5 hand size on his Twitter profile. Falaniko also had scholarship offers from several Group of 5 schools, including Utah State, Colorado State, Fresno State and Hawaii, according to 247 Sports.
Falaniko announced on June 16 he had received a scholarship offer from BYU, and recently he shared photos on social media from a trip to USC.
Falaniko is the 14th prospect to commit to the Cougars as part of their 2022 recruiting class, including 11 from Utah.
