LSU transfer Seneca Knight reportedly set to make visit to BYU

Friday morning, CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein tweeted that LSU transfer Seneca Knight “will visit BYU next week”

BYU basketball coach Mark Pope has one scholarship remaining to fill his 2021-22 roster and he and his staff are busy recruiting.

A 6-foot-7 junior wing, Knight averaged 17.1 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.4 assists at San Jose State in 2019-20. He shot 48% from the field and earned third team All-Mountain West Conference honors.

In three years with the Spartans, Knight averaged 11.5 points in 51 games.

Last season, Knight, a Lafayette, Louisiana, native, started out at SJSU and played in four games before transferring to LSU. But he never played for the Tigers. Knight entered the transfer portal in June.

If the Cougars land Knight, they would add another versatile, experienced player to a team that features Alex Barcello, Te’Jon Lucas and Caleb Lohner. Knight has two years of eligibility remaining.
