Two NBA players with Utah ties are reportedly getting traded for one another.
On Friday afternoon, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that former Utah State star Sam Merrill will be traded by the Milwaukee Bucks along with two future second-round picks to the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for Grayson Allen, who played his rookie season with the Utah Jazz.

Merrill, the last pick in the 2020 NBA draft, played sparingly in 30 regular season games for the NBA champion Bucks during the 2020-21 campaign, and then appeared in eight postseason contests.
Allen, in his third season in the league, was a key reserve for the Grizzlies and averaged 10.6 points per game during the regular season. He then averaged 6.4 points per game during a five-game first round playoff series against the Jazz.
Allen was drafted by the Jazz in 2018 and played his rookie season with Utah before being traded to Memphis as part of the deal that brought Mike Conley to the Jazz.
