On Thursday afternoon, multiple outlets reported, and the Denver Nuggets later officially confirmed, that former BYU star Jimmer Fredette would play for them during the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas starting on Sunday.
But on Friday morning, Nuggets beat writer Mike Singer, of the Denver Post, reported that Fredette won’t play after all “due to a last-minute issue.”
Due to a last-minute issue, Jimmer Fredette will NOT be on the #Nuggets Summer League roster, per source.

The Nuggets have not officially announced Fredette’s withdrawal.
Fredette’s playing future is very much up in the air after reports surfaced in June that the Chinese Basketball Association would not be allowing foreign players in the league this season.
Fredette, 32, has played for the Shanghai Sharks in the CBA since 2016 save for a short stint in the NBA and a season in Greece.
