Guard Trent Forrest is getting another chance with the Utah Jazz.
The organization announced Wednesday that Forrest, who’s been a standout for the Jazz during NBA Summer League play, has re-signed with Utah on a two-way contract. Forrest also signed a two-way deal with the Jazz last season after going undrafted following a four-year career at Florida State.
The 6-foot-4, 210-pounder played in 30 games for Utah last season, averaging 2.9 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 10.1 minutes. He also shot 45.1% from the field.
During three games in the Salt Lake City Summer League last week, Forrest averaged 14.3 points, 9 assists and 4.3 rebounds for the Jazz. In the team’s opening game at the Las Vegas Summer League on Monday, Forrest scored 10 points (though on 3 of 10 shooting) and added seven rebounds, seven assists, two steals and a block, along with six turnovers, in a 63-57 win over Phoenix.
