Fresh off their season opening win over the Arizona Wildcats last Saturday, the BYU Cougars received a commitment for their 2022 recruiting class from a Utah high school prospect who until recently was committed elsewhere.

On Monday night, Roy High athlete Parker Kingston announced his pledge to the Cougars via Twitter. The announcement comes about a week and a half after Kingston had decommitted from Air Force.

Listed at 5-foot-11 and 175 pounds, Kingston has made an impact at Roy as a wide receiver, rusher and this season as the team’s quarterback. Jeff Hansen of 247 Sports reported Monday night that Kingston will likely play receiver at the collegiate level.

According to the Deseret News statistical database, Kingston has 31 career catches for 491 yards with three touchdowns.

Kingston had committed to Air Force in July, but BYU offered him a scholarship just a few weeks later, and he decommitted on Aug. 25.

Kingston is the 14th player committed to the Cougars as part of their 2022 recruiting class.
