Here’s a complete roundup of Wednesday’s Week 10 high school football action from around the state.
Region 1
Weber 35, Fremont 24
Weber finished their quest for a perfect region record with their win over the Silverwolves. The Warriors took a minute to get going, trailing 17-0 early. Cannon DeVries scored two touchdowns and Aidan Carter tossed for a pair as well. The big momentum play came late in the third quarter when Konrad Kerr returned a blocked kick for a score that gave Weber their first lead of the game.
“We had a great team win tonight. It’s always a good game against Fremont. They are well coached and always prepared. I’m proud of how are guys responded to some adversity early and battled back. It was a great team effort in all three phases of the game. Aisea Moa had his best game and Cannon DeVries made some huge individual plays that really sparked our team. Konrad Kerr had the huge blocked punt and recovered it in the end zone. That really changed the momentum of the game. I’m so proud of all our kids. The battle til the very end. This was a great win for our program and hopefully we can keep the momentum going into the state tournament.”

Davis 24, Clearfield 21
Davis rallied past Clearfield in the fourth quarter to finish the Region 1 season with a 3-3 record and in a third-place tie with Layton.
Farmington 24, Syracuse 14
Kenyon Brown scored two touchdowns in the second quarter to give the Phoenix a 17-7 halftime lead. Brown would score for a third time halfway through the final period to put a staple on the game and give Farmington the victory.
“Region 1, to me, is a powerhouse. It really could’ve turned into anybody’s region. There were outrageously close games throughout the year — we were in a ton of them — and a play or two here or there and we easily could’ve ended up finishing in the fifth spot. Super happy where we finished though we would’ve liked that No. 1 spot.”

Region 2
West 28, Granger 20
After trailing 20-7 entering the fourth quarter, the Panthers were able to score three touchdowns late in the game to flip the score to a 28-20 victory. Bronson Saena scored the first two on long touchdowns before Viliata Tua’one added an insurance score in the final two minutes.
Roy 55, Taylorsville 7
Parker Kingston scored three touchdowns in the first six minutes of the game and then never looked back as the Royals nearly shutout the Warriors. Kingston would finish with five scores while Ethan Ecker had two, one through the air and one on the ground.
Region 4
Skyridge 42, American Fork 22
After falling behind 8-0 early in the game, the Falcons recovered for a road win over American Fork. McCae Hillstead would score the next four touchdowns with three coming on the ground and one through the air to Jack Hadfield. The win gives Skyridge a share of the Region 4 title.
Lone Peak 42, Westlake 7
The Lone Peak defense allowed just one scoring play on the night while the offense took care of business to pick up the Region 4 victory at home. Quarterback Easton Comer rushed for a touchdown and tossed in three more to lead his team to victory.
Corner Canyon 56, Pleasant Grove 8
Corner Canyon rebounded from its loss last week with a massive win over the Vikings. The Chargers raced out to a 56-point lead before Pleasant Grove got on the board in the final minutes. Devin Brown threw six touchdown passes, including three to Cody Hagen in the game’s first 15 minutes.
Region 6
East 34, Highland 0
Amini Amone rushed for two touchdowns as East blanked rival Highland in the region finale. The Leopards offense really exploded in the first half, when they scored four out of their five touchdowns.
Brighton 59, Murray 6
The Bengals scored early and often as they cruised to the road victory over Murray. Kace Gurr and Lander Braton rushed for two touchdowns apiece, and quarterback Jack Johnson passed for two more scores in the win.
“I thought we came out and executed well in all three units. We had an opportunity to play for a region championship and I thought our response was strong. It was a short week of practice but the boys were focused throughout the week. We executed well and played with great effort.”

Region 7
Cedar Valley 42, Hillcrest 6
Cedar Valley scored three touchdowns in each of the first two quarters and pitched a shutout until the fourth en route to the win. Easton Schlank ran for four touchdowns and Cooper Thomson connected with Taygen Hansen for the other two for the Aviators.
“It is always a fun night when you can get every player on the sideline into the game. It’s a good win going into the playoffs.”

Payson 28, Mountain View 16
Luke Ivers passed for three touchdowns, finding Cooper Swasey twice, and rushed for another as Payson picked up the road win against Mountain View.
“I was really proud of our guys tonight, and especially how they responded in the second half. We started a little slow, but were able to figure a few things out as the game went on. Mountain View is better than people give them credit for, that was a great game. Love these kids, and am proud of what they have been able to accomplish this year.”

Stansbury 49, Timpanogos 14
Stansbury scored a trio of touchdowns in each of the first two quarters, leading them to a win over Timpanogos. The Stallions were led by Bridger Thomas, who ran for three scores near the goal line. Easton Baker returned a fumble 97-yards for a touchdown just before halftime to extend the Stallions lead.
“We created some confusion by mixing up our looks and not tipping our hat too early, stemming, moving around, muddling around and being in the right spots when the ball is snapped.”

Region 8
Lehi 38, Orem 17
Lehi gained solid separation in the second quarter and didn’t look back en route to the win. Carson Gonzalez scored three touchdowns (one through the air and two on the ground) to lead the way offensively as Lehi finished Region 8 in second place with the win.
Timpview 49, Jordan 21
Timpview jumped out to a 28-0 lead and wound up winning by 28. Liu Aumavae connected with Pokai Haunga for two scores and Tei Nacua for another, and Haunga added another rushing touchdown for the T-Birds.
“Team played well. Defense was on tonight. The kids were clicking in the passing and running game. Special team made several big plays tonight against a well coached Jordan team.”

Region 10
Dixie 57, Hurricane 6
The Flyers had a huge 43-point second quarter to take a demanding lead and cruise to the region win over Hurricane. Bronson Barben tossed in three touchdown passes in win, one of which went to Shea Anderson, who rushed for another two scores of his own in the Dixie victory. Mamoa Tofi returned two interceptions for touchdowns to lead the defense.
Crimson Cliffs 35, Cedar City 0
The Mustangs scored consistently to build a strong lead and shut out the Reds on the road. Easton Droubay led Crimson Cliffs with three rushing touchdowns, and Jayton Tanibe had a 52-yard punt return in the victory.
“This was a big win for us to get back on track for the playoffs. We played our brand of football and we saw success against a very physical team in Cedar. We limited our turnovers and kept the chains moving, which is important for us to be successful. I thought we did a good job of establishing our run game and then passing once Cedar added guys to the box. We played great as a team and we are excited for our opportunity in the playoffs.”

Desert Hills 38, Pine View 17
After a scoreless first quarter, Desert Hills scored three touchdowns in the second and two more in the third to pull away from Pine View to finish the region with an impressive undefeated record. Tyden Morris led the way with three rushing touchdowns. The win was No. 100 in school history for Desert Hills.
3A North
Juan Diego 17, Grantsville 14
After a back-and-forth battle, the Soaring Eagle eked out the victory over Grantsville to take the lead in the 3A North region standings. Tyler Easter and Dallas Larson each rushed for a crucial score, and Hauroa Morgant nailed a 40-yard field goal in the fourth quarter to give Juan Diego the lead it needed to take home the win.

Morgan 55, Union 0
Morgan dominated throughout on its way to the shutout victory over Union to finish region play with a 4-1 record. Tate Nelson rushed for three scores and passed for two more in the easy victory.
“Tonight’s win was a great team win. The team played inspired for the seniors. I was proud of how well they played for each other. Our defense did a great job of being disciplined and making tackles. Our offense executed well. Both lines controlled the line of scrimmage, which makes things on the back end much easier.”

Ogden 42, Ben Lomond 7
Chet Colvin ran for four touchdowns and the Ogden defense pitched a shutout until the final minutes of the fourth quarter as it rolled past rival Ben Lomond in the Iron Horse game.
3A South
North Sanpete 49, Carbon 6
The Hawks jumped out to a 35-0 lead at the half and never looked back en route to the big win over Carbon. Quarterback Morgan Bowles passed for three touchdowns, connecting with Dante Lowe twice, and rushed for another in the victory.
Juab 35, Manti 25
Up one after the first quarter, Juab outscored Manti 21-0 in the second and third to gain the separation it needed to get the victory. Alex Jackson tossed three touchdown passes for the Wasps in the win.

2A North
Judge Memorial 14, American Leadership 6
Judge Memorial scored the game’s first points just before halftime and was able to add a second-half touchdown as it beat American Leadership for its first win of the season on the final game of the regular season. Isaiah Hemmings threw for both scores, one each to Henry Thompson and Jake Marland. Both defenses played really well in an old-school battle.
South Summit 41, Providence Hall 10
South Summit dominated the Patriots early, jumping out to a 27-0 halftime lead with stellar play on both sides of the ball. Kyler Sudweeks threw for two touchdown passes, including a 90-yarder to Calaby Thompson. Sudweeks also rushed for a long touchdown early in the second half.
Nonregion
Bountiful 41, Sky View 14
Corbin Cottle has been red hot the second half of the season for Bountiful and that continued on Wednesday as he rushed for five touchdowns to lead his team in the victory over Sky View. Quarterback Owen Geilman also passed for two more touchdowns on the night, and Bountiful remains undefeated on the season.
Spanish Fork 36, Woods Cross 0
While the Spanish Fork defense prevented any scoring from the Wildcats, Joshua Buck rushed for three touchdowns to lead the Dons as they built strong momentum heading into the playoffs with an easy victory.
Ridgeline 57, Box Elder 27
After the teams combined for five touchdowns in the first quarter, Ridgeline was able to break away from the Bees to gain a 43-15 advantage at halftime. They wouldn’t look back as they utilized five total Carson Cox touchdowns en route to victory.
Maple Mountain 30, Mountain Crest 7
Hunter Bezzant connected with Jaxson Denton for the games first two touchdowns as Maple Mountain defeated Mountain Crest. The Golden Eagles were led Bezzant, who finished the game with four touchdown passes.
Uintah 30, Layton Christian 23
With under 90 seconds to go, Uintah found themselves down one-point and still over 70 yards away from the end zone. Josh Spiers connected with Kaedyn Sheffield for a touchdown pass to take the lead. A two-point conversion would give the defense a little buffer, but it wouldn’t matter as the Cougars stepped up and got a stop to win the game.
