6A playoffs

Skyridge 1, Pleasant Grove 0

Skyridge’s Amanda Caswell scored the game’s only goal in the second half as the Falcons defense made it hold up as they edged Pleasant Grove to advance to the 6A semifinals.

Layton 1, Davis 0

Brook Nelson scored the golden goal game-winner in the second overtime as Layton edged rival Davis to advance to the 6A semifinals. The teams split the regular season series, but Layton won the series decider as the visiting team won each game.

Syracuse 2, Lone Peak 1

Avery Sanders and Cortney Cobabe both found the back of the net in the second half as visiting Syracuse rallied from a 1-0 halftime deficit against No. 1 seed Lone Peak to advance to the 6A semifinals. Titans keeper Tayiah Lambert played a phenomenal game to keep Lone Peak off the scoreboard in the second half.

Riverton 3, Mountain Ridge 0

Belle Christensen scored a goal in each half and then Morganne McCleary added a goal of her own in the second half as Riverton blanked region foe Mountain Ridge to advance to the 6A semifinals for the first time in school history.


5A playoffs

Timpanogos 4, Northridge 0

Hailey Hutchins recorded both an assist and goal scored as Timpanogos picked up the home playoff win and booked their trip to the 5A semifinals. Three other Timberwolf players found the back of the net.

Lehi 2, Cedar Valley 1

Ally Dahl scored a pair of goals as No. 6 seed Lehi edged No. 3 seed Cedar Valley in the highly-anticipated 5A quarterfinal game.

Bonneville 1, Murray 0

Bonneville keeper Ellie Scholer played a great game in helping keep Murray’s potent lineup off the scoreboard as the Lakers edged Murray behind a second-half goal from Sadie Beardall.

Skyline 3, Maple Mountain 0

Rozlin Gomez scored off a Jenna Nichols pass in the first minute to give the Eagles an early lead. Brianna Frey and the Skyline defense would shut out Maple Mountain, preserving the lead for 79 minutes en route to a quarterfinal victory. Lily Boyden and Matea Liddiard also scored.
