KAYSVILLE — An Ogden man has been charged with exposing himself to young boys while at a baseball game in Kaysville, and to a teenager on a school bus in another case.
Dane Alex Rasmussen, 32, is charged in 2nd District Court with two counts of lewdness involving a child, both class A misdemeanors.
On Sept. 7, a group of boys were at Barnes Park, 950 W. 200 North in Kaysville, for a baseball game when two 9-year-old boys went into the public restroom. Inside, they noticed Rasmussen had exposed himself and appeared to be taking pictures with his phone while the boys were in the background, the charges state.
The boys told their fathers what was happening and three men detained Rasmussen until police arrived. Investigators seized his phone and discovered a video on it of him performing a sex act “in the presence of two boys wearing baseball uniforms,” the charges state.
Rasmussen also faces a charge of lewdness of a child, a class A misdemeanor, in a separate case.
On July 16, Rasmussen pulled up to a school bus with special needs children in Farmington and exposed himself while a 13-year-old boy looked out the window, according to charging documents. A bus assistant saw what was happening and turned the boy’s head away. She also got a license plate number of Rasmussen’s vehicle.
He is scheduled to make his initial court appearances for both cases on Friday.
In 2008, Rasmussen took a plea in abeyance to a charge of lewdness, meaning he pleaded guilty and the conviction was dismissed two years later after completing the terms of his probation, according to court records.
