LEHI — Riding a nationwide boom in multifamily housing development, Utah property management software firm Entrata is set to fill more than 100 new positions in the next few months.

The U.S. Department of Commerce reported construction starts for multifamily developments hit some 536,000 units last December, up over 30% from November and the highest volume since 1986.

Those numbers reflect a fast-growing addressable market for Entrata, which has built a cloud-based platform with a suite of tools that automate many of the tasks that come with managing large-scale multifamily properties.

The company’s vice president of human resources, Brandon Fish, said Entrata continues to expand and innovate the tools it first launched in 2003 and now counts 32 of the top 50 U.S. property management companies as clients.

“What really kickstarted the business was the payment portal, and since then we’ve opened up a whole slew of products,” Fish said. “We just continue to double-down on being the best property management tool in the world.”

The company says it built a customer list that numbers over 20,000 and is pulling in more than $100 million in recurring revenue.

Fish said the new jobs are opening up companywide and include positions in engineering, customer service, project management, marketing and more. He noted Entrata has worked to build a healthy work environment that aims to help employees maintain a “high level of work-life balance.”

“We strongly believe in providing the best possible work experience and benefits for our employees, and that shows in the products we create for our clients and in the happiness of our team,” Fish said in a statement.

Entrata employs over 1,000 in the U.S., with most of those staff members based at the company’s Lehi headquarters.
