The Utah State Aggies could have to sweat things out on Selection Sunday after they fell to the San Diego State Aztecs 68-57 in the Mountain West Conference championship game in Las Vegas on Saturday.
Here are three keys from the contest.
- After a pretty even first half, San Diego State led by four but then scored the first six points of the second half and Utah State never got closer than six points the rest of the way.
- The Aggies committed 16 turnovers compared to just nine for the Aztecs. SDSU finished with seven more field goal attempts and made seven more.
- Utah State big man Neemias Queta scored a game-high 18 points, although he scored just six in the second half after a great first half.
