In just his second game of the season, Jo Adell has gone yard.
The 21-year-old outfielder, ranked as the Los Angeles Angels’ best prospect and the third-best prospect in all of baseball by Baseball America in 2020, started the 2021 season in Triple-A with the Salt Lake Bees and cranked his first home run of the season on Friday night.
Adell homered to the left field berm in the bottom of the first inning at Smith’s Ballpark.

Adell appeared in 38 games for the Los Angeles Angels in 2020, batting .161 with four doubles, seven RBIs and three home runs.
The Salt Lake Bees are in the midst of a 12-game homestand at Smith’s Ballpark to open the 2021 season. This season marks the first time since September 2019 that Salt Lake has been in action, as the entire 2020 minor league season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
