LOGAN — A man police say went on a vandalism spree in Logan has been arrested.
Kenneth Lee Pyper, 39, of Logan, was arrested Friday for investigation of 11 counts of criminal mischief.
On March 18, “Mount Logan Middle School, two churches, two businesses and several vehicles had windows smashed out with rocks. The total damage of the smashed windows was about $4,000,” according to a police affidavit.
The vandalism occurred between 7:50 a.m. and 9:15 a.m.
Witnesses tried following Pyper but eventually lost sight of him, the affidavit states. Detectives gathered video surveillance from several businesses, which showed the suspect wearing “very distinct athletic shoes” and a polo shirt, the affidavit states.
Police were able to locate Pyper at his residence near where surveillance video was gathered.
“While officers contacted Kenny the shoes seen in the video were also seen in plain view in,” according to the affidavit.
