President Trump’s comments came as he spoke in Pittsburgh
President Donald Trump said Wednesday during a speech in Pittsburgh that the government is currently building a wall in Colorado.
“And we’re building a wall on the border of New Mexico and we’re building a wall in Colorado, we’re building a beautiful wall, a big one that really works that you can’t get over, you can’t get under and we’re building a wall in Texas,” he said, according to CBS Denver. “We’re not building a wall in Kansas but they get the benefit of the walls we just mentioned.”

Later, he walked back his comments with a tweet: “(Kiddingly) We’re building a Wall in Colorado’ (then stated, ‘we’re not building a Wall in Kansas but they get the benefit of the Wall we’re building on the Border’) referred to people in the very packed auditorium, from Colorado & Kansas, getting the benefit of the Border Wall!.”

According to CBS Denver, there are no reports of building a border wall in Colorado.
Colorado Gov. Jared Polis said on Twitter Wednesday night that the wall didn’t exist.
“Well this is awkward. ... Colorado doesn’t border Mexico. Good thing Colorado now offers free full day kindergarten so our kids can learn basic geography,” he tweeted.

Colorado Sen. Michael Bennet also confirmed there was no wall.
“Let me repeat: There isn’t an elected leader from the state of Colorado who would support using eminent domain to steal the property of our farmers and ranchers to build a medieval wall,” he tweeted.

Social media offered a slew of reactions as well.
I will politely remind you that Colorado is bordered by Wyoming, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Nebraska — all U.S. states. I'm not sure where the Colorado wall is going. https://t.co/2JGusBVzZA
